Vinification: Whole clusters pressed in vertical oak press, 24-hour settling, ambient yeast fermentation and aging in older barrels for about 9 months.\u0026lt;\/p\u0026gt;\u0026lt;p\u0026gt; Chardonnay La Marcette was produced with grapes from vines planted in 1982 on Triassic marl soils at the top of a hill, as Benoit makes another wine from lower down the same slope called Les Charots.
