This cask sample initially proves quite primary and intensely smoky, and only gradually reveals a refined nose of spices, herbal tea, smoke, ginger, white pepper, aniseed, and almond syrup. The wine has good presence and a light creamy texture, yet the finish is superbly focused and precise, with just a hint of presence and intensity.
