He mixed up a minty Liqueur to have a soothing, cool drink and very much liked it. So he mixed up a full battle and took it to the lobby of the \u0026lt;em\u0026gt;Grand Hotel\u0026lt;\/em\u0026gt; and basically handed out free drams. Soon folks were clamoring for more so he transformed his chemist shop into a\u0026lt;em\u0026gt; small makeshift distillery \u0026lt;\/em\u0026gt;and started producing his\u0026lt;em\u0026gt; Menthe-Pastille Liqueur.\u0026lt;\/em\u0026gt; Since then, five generations of his descendants have produced fine French Spirits in Loire under the Giffard name.\u0026lt;\/p\u0026gt;\u0026lt;p\u0026gt;\u0026lt;em\u0026gt;Giffard Crème de Pamplemousse Rosé\u0026lt;\/em\u0026gt; is created via the careful maceration of pink grapefruit from Provence into neutral Spirit. It strikes a perfect balance of sweet, bitter, fruit, and acidity with a simply wonderful aroma. It is lovely and bit fun to sip neat as a \u0026lt;em\u0026gt;Cordial\u0026lt;\/em\u0026gt;, but the mad scientists behind the bar at \u0026lt;em\u0026gt;Flaviar central\u0026lt;\/em\u0026gt; have been having a blast using it in cocktails. Even just as a topper for a glass of Prosecco adds a little zing to the sparkle.
