While most of the distilleries in the Island region mature their Whiskies on the islands themselves, Ledaig matures them on the Mainland.\u0026lt;\/p\u0026gt;\u0026lt;p\u0026gt;\u0026lt;em\u0026gt;The Ledaig 10 YO\u0026lt;\/em\u0026gt; is distilled from peat dried Barley and has the strength of around\u0026lt;em\u0026gt; 30-40 PPM\u0026lt;\/em\u0026gt;. It is aged for 10 years in Oak Wood casks. The medicinal peat smokiness can easily put this Whisky beside the famous peaty Islay Drams.
