Most of their Spirits are aged in \u0026lt;em\u0026gt;new, Swedish oak\u0026lt;\/em\u0026gt; placed \u0026lt;em\u0026gt;50 meters underground\u0026lt;\/em\u0026gt; in an abandoned mineshaft.\u0026lt;\/p\u0026gt;\u0026lt;p\u0026gt;\u0026lt;em\u0026gt;Mackmyra Brukswhisky\u0026lt;\/em\u0026gt; is an important part of the core range of Spirits. In fact, the word “Brukswhisky” literally means “utility Whisky.” OK, that does not translate well out of Swedish. But it’s a way of saying \u0026lt;em\u0026gt;“daily dram.”\u0026lt;\/em\u0026gt; That’s what Mackmyra Brukswhisky is — \u0026lt;em\u0026gt;a consistent, high-quality Single Malt \u0026lt;\/em\u0026gt;that is approachable. But this is no slacker. The Spirit is a\u0026lt;em\u0026gt; marriage of several cask types\u0026lt;\/em\u0026gt; from first-fill ex-Bourbon to virgin Swedish oak, ex-Sherry, and refill casks.
