In 1934, he founded Yoichi Distillery in southern Hokkaido on a spot surrounded on three sides by mountains — a terrain and climate very similar to the Scottish Highlands. Growing to become the second largest producer of Whiskies in Japan, they opened a second distillery — Mihagikyo — in 1969.\u0026lt;\/p\u0026gt;\u0026lt;p\u0026gt;First off, we love the decanter and presentation box for The Nikka Tailored — nothing but modern class. The Spirit inside the lovely bottle is equally impressive. It is a blend of three Whiskies from their two distilleries. There is Single Malt from both the Yoshi and Mihagikyo distilleries, plus a wee bit of grain Spirit from Mihagikyo.
