So the town literally grew up \u0026lt;em\u0026gt;around the Whisky\u0026lt;\/em\u0026gt; — we’re no city planning experts, but it doesn’t sound as a bad way for a town to grow.\u0026lt;\/p\u0026gt;\u0026lt;p\u0026gt;The blokes at Oban have only one wash and one spirit still and the Whisky they produce is considered one of the classic malts of Scotland — a virtual \u0026lt;em\u0026gt;national treasure\u0026lt;\/em\u0026gt;. Oban is in the \u0026lt;em\u0026gt;Highlands, \u0026lt;\/em\u0026gt;but its position on the far western coast gives their spirit a very unique character. \u0026lt;\/p\u0026gt;\u0026lt;p\u0026gt;Oban Little Bay is a bit redundant since the word \u0026lt;em\u0026gt;“oban” already means “little bay”\u0026lt;\/em\u0026gt; in Scots Gaelic. Like all Oban Whiskies, this is a fine Single Malt. But Little Bay is also \u0026lt;em\u0026gt;their first NAS\u0026lt;\/em\u0026gt; — which means that it is a combination of their Single Malt \u0026lt;em\u0026gt;across a range of ages \u0026lt;\/em\u0026gt;that were married in small ex-Bourbon barrels. \u0026lt;\/p\u0026gt;\u0026lt;p\u0026gt;Oban Little Bay has all of that \u0026lt;em\u0026gt;lovely coastal character\u0026lt;\/em\u0026gt;, but with a gentle, heather quality.
