<p>Fredi makes his Albariño at Albamar, alongside his friend Xurxo Alba, from an incredible vineyard of 130-year-old vines in Salnes, grown on decomposed granitic sandy soils. (For fans of Albamar’s “69 Arrobas” cuvée, this is the same vineyard!) The grapes were harvested manually, pressed directly, fermented with native yeasts in stainless steel (no MLF), then aged on the lees in a 400L concrete “dolium” egg without batonnage for 5.5 years. Yes, five and a half years… This is a rare and very fine Albariño that reveals the grape’s majesty and aging potential. Bottled by hand without filtration in the spring of 2022. 545 bottles produced.</p><p>
