<p>Crafted only in exceptional years from the house’s grand‐cru parcels, the 2016 Cristal blends 58 % Pinot Noir with 42 % Chardonnay, with 31 % of the base wines aged in French oak and no malolactic fermentation. In the glass it’s brilliant pale gold, the bead ultra-fine and persistent. On the nose: fresh red berry clarity from the Pinot (raspberry, strawberry), floral lift, citron-zest brightness and subtle yeasty/brioche depth. </p><p>The palate delivers crystalline tension—oyster-shell salinity, chalky mineral drive, and ripe orchard fruit (white peach, mirabelle) balanced by vivid acidity and a fine chalky extract. The finish is long, taut yet expressive, unfolding with citrus peel, talc dust, and thread-like depth</p><p>This is Cristal at its architectural best: precision-built, terroir-forward, and built for long ageing—already impressive now, but promising remarkable cellar evolution.</p>
