Gravelly (grèzes litée), slightly reddish, iron-rich soil (“Rabbit Earth). 270-meters elevation.</p><p>From the limestone–marl slopes at the northern end of Marsannay, ‘Clos du Roy’ is Pataille’s most stately village site, farmed organically and harvested by hand.
