<p>Frantz has 6 hectares in Montlouis that are certified organic. His main focus is chenin blanc, which he has 5 different vineyards of, all with unique terroirs. He established his domaine in Montlouis-sur-Loire in 2002, after a few stints as a forester in France and Canada, and a stage with Christian Chaussard of Domaine le Briseau, an influential voice in the “vin naturel” world who passed away not long ago.</p><p>From a parcel of Chenin Blanc with plantings from 1918-2012 2020 was a very ripe vintage. Off-dry chenin (~25 g/L RS), half direct-press, half skin contact for 3 months, elevage in barrel/concrete. Rich, delicious</p>
