A blend of Corvina, Rondinella, Molinara, with less than 20% Merlot. Vine age ranges from 5-55 years old. The grapes are harvested in 5-10 passes, and each harvest is fermented separately. Macerations last 5-6 days; fermented and aged in concrete vats. Bottled on March 1, 2019 and aged for additional months before release. 12,904 bottles made.

Daniele has new vines and vineyards coming on board, which will eventually reduce the percentage of Merlot in this wine.; once that happens, it can qualify for the Bardolino Classico moniker. Soracuna is Veneto dialect for the Italian sopra la culla, or “above the cradle,” a phrase that means “to celebrate a birth.”1NoPercentage of Price Before Discounts00%000000Yes0.0000%0NoNoNoNoNo0.0000YesNoNoOnNoNoNo10.000NONE0.00No2022-12-05T16:40:37.281Set Price Manually2020 Villa Calicantus Bardolino Classico ‘Soracuna’, Veneto, ItalyYesNot Counted1No00000.000C60.003.500900000014.000No0%14.000each805053895081298170.00039000.00022.9902022-08-16T21:44:08.84800000Not Counted0000000Bowler98182019 ‘A Vita, ‘il RossoRW/ITALYBOW22.9902022-11-03T14:38:53.608$350.0025$350.00252022-12-20T18:35:27.739$540.2526$540.2526Yes001-06Clerk2022-05-31T19:06:24.5642022-12-20T18:35:27.739002-01OwnerAvailable0.0009818A new wine for ‘A Vita (although it was made once before, in the 2012 vintage), the ‘il Rosso’ is 92% Gaglioppo (from the hillside vineyards of Sant’Anastasia and Muzzunetto, at 100m asl) and 8% Magliocco (from the seaside vineyard Fego, at 0m). Both sites have typical clay-limestone marls. Harvest is in late September at yield of 4000-6000kg/ha (around 28-42 hl/ha). The grapes are co-fermented spontaneously, with a brief maceration of 36 hours. The addition of a little Magliocco has historic precedent in the area, as it softens Gaglioppo’s notorious tannins and stabilizes its feeble color a bit.
