<p>From old-vine Nebbiolo planted around 1960 in the Perno hamlet of Monforte d’Alba—overlooked by the hill of Elio Sandri to the south and near Pira and Castiglione Falletto—the vines grow on southwest-facing slopes of calcareous clay-marl with sandy stone interbeds. The 2021 was de-stemmed and fermented with native yeasts for 25–30 days in stainless steel, then aged 8 months in stainless steel tanks followed by 20 months in large Slavonian oak casks (25–30 hL)</p>
