<p>From a parcel in Santa Margherita—a limestone- and clay-rich site near Arianna Occhipinti’s home in Vittoria—this is a single-vineyard expression of Grillo that pushes far beyond the variety’s usual crisp profile. Fermented with native yeasts in concrete, then aged in large neutral oak botti, it’s bottled without filtration and with minimal sulfur.</p><p>The result is textural and mineral, with the quiet intensity Occhipinti coaxes from all her contrada wines. Grillo here is less about freshness, more about structure, salinity, and stony tension—a serious white built for the table, and one of the most compelling Grillo bottlings we’ve tasted.</p>
