<p>The Chardonnay is coming from our own-farmed vineyard in west Sonoma County near occidental on the True Sonoma Coast. This epic vineyard was planted in the early 1970s. Lined with Redwoods, this exceptionally cool site has Goldridge clay loams, which are well suited for dry farming. Half of the chardonnay was pressed directly and fermented as a white wine in stainless tanks and the other half was destemmed and macerated on skins for 12 days and then raised in 300 gal HDPE tanks. The muscat comes from the Hartwick Vineyard in Lodi and is fermented on the skins for 7 days. The wines were blended just prior to bottling and 20ppm SO2 was added.
