<p>From Vigna Arione, Giacomo Conterno’s historic Serralunga d’Alba site, bottled here as Nebbiolo d’Alba rather than Barolo. Arione is prized for tannin architecture and longevity—a high-structure, low-noise expression of Nebbiolo that’s more about framework than immediacy. Conterno’s approach is classic and controlled: fermentation on skins, extended maceration, then élevage in large oak (botti) to preserve site signature and minimize cosmetic winemaking. This is essentially single-vineyard Conterno Nebbiolo with a slightly earlier access window than Barolo—still built to cellar, still happiest with air.</p>
