<p>This benchmark vineyard is widely regarded as Burgundy’s top Premier Cru and often considered “Grand Cru in all but name”. From ~0.9 ha of southeast‑facing vines—mostly over 50 years old—planted in marl–limestone soils that encourage deep root systems and ideal ripening.</p><p>The vineyard is hand‑harvested and vinified with indigenous yeasts, typically including partial whole‑cluster to emphasize structure. Fermentation takes place in open-top vats with gentle extraction techniques. Elevage is carried out in used oak barrels (virtually no new oak), aged for roughly 16 months before bottling unfined and unfiltered. </p>
