<p>This is our fourth vintage of this wine– it is a little hard to say what it is.</p><p>This year, we brought together Lopez Palomino with various portions of all the Blanc de Noir wines that we made: Lopez Zin, Hofer Grenache, Galleano Mataro– and a little Lone Wolf Blanc. The aim was to make something more fierce, more wild than any of the component wines on their own. None of the wines were skin-fermented, yet we wanted something of the power and wildness of skin-fermented white wine.</p><p>This wine is more dense and more serious than our Lopez Blanc, but not as civilized as Lone Wolf or as sophisticaed as the two Palomino Reserves. It is a different kind of reserve wine, perhaps on the Blondie side of Disco.</p><p>From noted California winemaker Abe Schoener.</p>
