<p>This is the 5th vintage of this cuvée from a single vineyard located in Cobrana, a small town with a deep-rooted winegrowing tradition in the Bierzo Alto, bordering the Bierzo Designation of Origin. This vineyard, with an altitude of 750m and an interesting soil of highly degraded blue slate with red clay, is one of the latest in the Cobrana valley, andin turn in the Bierzo region, with a fresher and more fluid profile. Vineyard with a mixture of varieties, as is common to find the Old vineyard in this area of Bierzo, mostly Mencía and other old local varieties (about 25% Doña Blanca, Palomino and Godello, Alicante Bouschet and Estaladiña), in this area of La Llamilla we find more Alicante Bouschet than in the other vineyards in Cobrana, highlighting that freshness typical of the Kinki.</p><p>Fermented with 100% whole bunches in an open truncated cone-shaped wooden tank with a capacity of 5000L and vinified in the local style of the area (co-fermenting red and white varieties in a long and gentle maceration), going for very light maturations, very low levels of alcohol and extraction, as well as aging in 800L amphora that preservesthe fresh and light profile of this wine. The aging took place under a thick and clean veil of flor, with a scent of lemon and green apple, which has undoubtedly contributed to sharpening the profile much more, very saline and electric. It is a wine with a light plot but a precise balance, with very little color and an intense nose of red fruit, currants, sourstrawberry and raspberry, with a balsamic and even medicinal background, which makes it fresh and elegant, very subtle as well as vibrant.
