<p>Certified Biodynamic. This is a new single vineyard release from the small 2 acre vineyard, Casa Contenta, which is located just west of our home ranch. The vines are planted to a steep hillside that sits south facing just 1 mile from the Pacific Ocean. The vineyard is lower in elevation with heavier soil, a mix of loam and sandstone. We took over the farming at this site at the beginning of 2024 and were able to complete its transition to being Demeter certified biodynamic. The grapes were fermented with 40% whole cluster in small 1.5 bins, over two different picks. The grapes fermented with native yeast and were pressed at dryness in our wooden basket press. The wine aged in neutral French oak barrels for 10 months and a small amount of sulfur was added at bottling to capture the energy of the wine. 192 cases were produced.</p>
