<p>A rich and flavorful spiced Rum that tastes like it was assembled by a gourmet pirate chef. </p><p>Atom Drinks Group was founded in 1996 by<em> Justin Petszaft </em>who — while working on his PhD program in Physics — started working at a local Single Malt Whisky shop in the UK. He eventually<em> acquired the shop</em> and set about bringing the business online, expanding operations, and recruiting a few of his childhood friends to join him. The business has expanded to develop and market<em> their own line of signature Spirits.</em> Their <em>award-winning</em> brands include Abelforth’s, Darkness, Origin, and nearly a dozen other Spirits.</p><p>Ableforth’s offers a line of four Rumbullion! Spiced Rums. All of them are <em>award winners</em> and are built on a platform of blended <em>Caribbean Rum</em> infused with Madagascar vanilla, orange zest, cassia, clove, and cardamom. Today we are talking about the foundational Spirit upon which they all rest — <em>Ableforth’s Rumbullion! Rum.</em> The infusions are at once harmonious and individually articulated. It’s like a pirate orchestra at 42.6% ABV. And we continue to love the charming black sealing wax on top.</p><p><u>Smartass Corner:</u><em>There are several conflicting theories about where the word “Rum” came from. But one of the most accepted is that it came from a lending of the words “rumbullion,” which referred to “noisy and uncontrollable exuberance,” and “saccharum,” the Latin word for sugar.</em></p>
