<p>Admiral Rodney Formidable Rum (70cl, 40%) </p><p> Produced on a 45-plate Coffey still and aged in American white oak ex-bourbon barrels, this truly rather delicious molasses-based rum contains liquid aged between nine and 12 years. The Rodney bloke in question is in fact a famous admiral from the 18th century – we’ll happily toast his seafaring successes with a drop of this. </p><p><p>Aroma: Oaky and resinous with notes of dark chocolate, honey, nutmeg and walnuts. </p><p>Flavor: More honey comes out, before the cinnamon and vanilla pods reach. More chocolate follows, this time in the shape of a nib, before leaf tobacco, oak and a sweet caramel add depth. </p><p>Finish: This is where those sweet spices come in. Delightful. </p><p>Overall: A dry rum, full of flavor. One to sip and savor.</p>
