<p>6 bottles of the King of wines: Amarone della Valpolicella. The palate offers bold aromas of cherry liqueur, ripe purple figs, cinnamon, and plum. Amarones generally have medium-plus to high acidity, which is balanced with high alcohol and black cherry, brown sugar, and chocolate flavours.To make Amarone, the grapes (generally Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella) are picked and then dried until there is 40% less liquid. This is called ‘Appassimento’. These dried grapes are then pressed slowly and then even more slowly fermented.
