The Amarone della Valpolicella 1998 by Giuseppe Quintarelli is an exceptional red wine from the Veneto region in northern Italy.

Its color is an intense garnet red with orange highlights, indicating prolonged aging. On the nose, the wine reveals a complex bouquet of ripe, dried fruits such as figs and plums, accompanied by nuances of spices such as cloves, cinnamon, and pepper, as well as hints of coffee and tobacco.

On the palate, the 1998 Amarone della Valpolicella is very powerful yet balanced, with ripe, silky tannins and a fresh acidity. The aromas of dried fruit and spices present on the nose continue in the mouth, accompanied by subtle notes of chocolate and coffee. The finish is very long and lingers with notes of dried fruit, spices, and a hint of tobacco.

This Amarone was made from a carefully selected blend of Corvina, Rondinella, and Molinara grapes, which were dried in special drying rooms to achieve a higher concentration of aromas and sugars. The wine was then aged for several years in oak barrels to enhance its structure and complexity.

Giuseppe Quintarelli’s 1998 Amarone della Valpolicella is a true delight, ideally paired with hearty meat dishes such as game, beef, or lamb. It’s also a perfect match for mature cheeses. This wine embodies the outstanding quality and elegance for which Amarone wines from Veneto are renowned worldwide.
