And—even rarer today—this producer is still family owned and operated.</p><p><em>Amaro Nonino Quintessentia Liqueur </em>is based on a old recipe that’s a closely guarded secret of the Nonino family. But we do know this: their Nonino Grape Distillate is infused with herbs and aged for more than 12 months in barriques. Bottled at <em>70 proof</em>, it captures the <em>essence </em>(hence, Quintessentia) of the rich experience and knowledge of the family.
