It’s an exotic fruit not too disimilair to the potato (by the looks) that grows in <em>miombo woodlands mostly in Southern Africa</em> and it tastes velvety and rich with<em> nutty-caramel flavors</em> and a hint of citrus. In 1989, they added cream to the recipe and Amarula hit the shelves. <em>A global success</em>, these guys try to give back as much, launching The Amarula Trust in 2008 to help elephants keep meeting under the marula trees forever.</p><p><em>Amarula Cream Liqueur </em>is their core offering. The Original. It’s crafted from the delicious Marula fruit from sub-Equatorial Africa and it’s <em>distilled and aged in French oak for two years</em>. Finally, it’s blended with their velvety cream to create the final result: smooth flavors of Amarula that are best savored over ice yet make the perfect cocktail ingredient.</p>
