“Anarkia” Tannat, Pablo Fallabrino, Atlantida, Canelones, Uruguay, 2021Grape: 100% Tannat, sustainable farming, hand harvested, indigenous yeast ferment, no added sulphur, unoakedSpicy and complex, Pablo’s “Anarkia” has juicy blueberry and blackberry fruit. Subtle tannins and a refreshing, palate-cleansing acidity. Clean and balanced with vibrancy and focus. It comes from a 17ha vineyard, located next to the coast, where the River Plate estuary meets the Atlantic Ocean. Soils are formed of calcareous white and brown clays. No insecticides were used and dry, no-till farming was employed in the vineyard. Minimal intervention in the winemaking process.Critics’ Tasting Notes:”This is the sixth version of Anarkía, a wine that was first made in 2016 with the idea of producing a tannat that would, first, show the fruitier side of the variety, the one closest to the grape itself. And, second, show that it’s possible to make a tannat naturally, with nothing but grapes. The result is this delicious juice with powerful tannins and full of fruit flavors. A black-fruit juice.”92/100 points, Patricio Tapia – Descorchados, January 2022″Entirely fermented in stainless steel, no added sulphur. Spicy and complex, it has lovely bramble and orange zest flavours and an earthy finish.”92/100 points, Tim Atkin MWPablo Fallabrino “Anarkia” Tannat, Atlantida, Canelones, Uruguay, 2021
