<p>A precious and historic sipper.</p><p>It wasn’t purely entrepreneurial nor (just) the Whisky fever that brought together<em> David Thomson and Teresa Church </em>― the first a Scottish expat who was searching for a connection with his homeland, the second super-passionate about restoring old buildings. What brought them together was entirely irrational, a “love at first sight” that took them over when seeing the historic <em>Annandale buildings </em>back in 2006.</p><p>They couldn’t quite wrap their minds around the reasons behind the distillery lying dormant for nearly a century. And neither would they let its position in Southern Scotland define their Whisky. Yes, it’s the Lowlands, but hey ― why limit yourself to the light, mellow, and fruity style that the local barley supposedly imparts when transportation is such a non-issue in modern times?</p><p><em>The distillery now pours its love into 6 different brands</em>: the 1st-tier Annandale Distillery, Man O’ Sword & Man O’ Words prestigious Single Malts, Vintage and Founders Selection, Rascally Liquor clear malt Spirit, and Nation of Scots blended Whisky.</p><p><em>Cask 40 – Man O’ Sword</em> was drawn from the very first batch of the prestigious Man O’ Sword. This is the first peated Whisky produced at Annandale Distillery in<em> 90 years</em>. Scottish Rugby icon <em>Doddie Weuir filled the first cask of this historic Spirit in 2014.</em> Three years later,<em> 85 casks</em> were yielded and<em> 99 bottles were donated to the My Name’5 Doddie charity. </em>Not many Spirits aficionados have the chance to get their hands on one of these precious babies but you can be one of them. It comes in a hand-made bespoke ash and metal display box made by Ian and Claire Cameron-Smith along with a booklet of Annandale’s history and tasting notes.</p><p><p>*This bottle is a collector’s item; we will not be able to entertain any refunds or exchanges.</p><p>**Individual orders are limited to one item per person, as we wish to allow everyone to participate.</p><p>***Any kind of transit damage is insured and will be reimbursed.</p>
