<p>Edition No. 2 of Ardbeg’s incredibly popular Traigh Bhan Single Malt is a nineteen year-old lesson in balance and complexity. </p><p>In an age of Whisky start-ups, Ardbeg is <em>refreshing blast from the past.</em> They have been making Malt Whisky on the same site since <em>1798</em>. The product was so popular that they ramped up production to commercial levels in 1815. That’s more than<em> two-hundred years</em> <em>of Single Malt wonder. </em>Like nearly all of her Islay sisters, Ardbeg is a peated dram. But Ardbeg is known for <em>gentle smoky smoothness</em> with the vast majority of production going into the world’s greatest blended Scotches. But true Single Malt releases are in high demand and they consistently deliver.</p><p>Traigh Bhan started as a special edition. But it turned out so great that customers couldn’t get enough of it, so they have added it to the core lineup in limited releases each year. <em>Ardbeg Traigh Bhan Batch 2</em> is the signature Ardbeg, lightly peated Single Malt that’s been aged in a combination of <em>Bourbon and Oloroso Sherry casks</em> for a full nineteen years and bottled without chill-filtration at 46.2% ABV.
