<p>Quinta Covela is positioned in the south eastern corner of the Vinho Verde region on the north bank of the Douro river and close to the boundary with the Douro region.The quinta is uniquely situated in a natural south facing amphitheatre where the climate transitions from lush Atlantic maritime to dry continental. There is lots of sunshine for ripening grapes giving riper fuller flavours. The Covela wines are part of a new ‘Douro verde’ trend with grapes from Vinho Verde region made in a more rounded style.The grapes here are grown organically on granitic soils and manually harvested and collected in small boxes to avoid crushing.
