<p>Meaning ‘Corner of the field’ in Gaelic, that’s left-bottom corner on our flavor map. </p><p>Antique records from the year 1800 mention an (illegal) <em>Duntocher </em>distillery, which may have been a predecessor to the legal Auchentoshan distillery. A license for distillation was obtained in 1823. It is the only Scottish distillery left employing a <em>true full-time third </em>distillation. This makes for a sweeter and more delicate Scotch, which is unique. The Distillery is located near Glasgow (that’s why it’s also known as Glasgow’s Malt Whisky) in the<em> Lowland region of Scotland</em>.</p><p><em>Auchentoshan 12 Year Old </em>is<em> </em>triple distilled, and matured for over twelve years. This Lowland Single Malt Scotch has the tempting aroma of toasted almonds, caramelised toffee and the signature smooth, delicate, Auchentoshan taste.</p><p><em>*Auchentoshan has recently changed their labels, and as the original labels are being phased out, there is still a chance that you might receive a bottle different than what is pictured. But rest assured, the liquid remains the same, regardless of the label.</em></p>
