<p>Aged in three different casks. What don’t you say.</p><p>Antique records from the year 1800 mention an <em>illegal Duntocher Distillery</em>, which may have been a predecessor to the <em>legal Auchentoshan Distillery.</em> A license for distillation was <em>obtained in 1823</em>. It is the only Scottish distillery left employing a <em>true full-time</em> third distillation. This makes for a <em>sweeter and more delicate </em>Scotch, which is unique. The Distillery is located <em>near Glasgow</em> (that’s why it’s also known as Glasgow’s Malt Whisky) in the <em>Lowland region </em>of Scotland.</p><p><em>Auchentoshan Three Wood</em> is a no-age statement Scotch, which is aged in <em>three different cask types</em>. First in Bourbon barrels, next in Spanish Oloroso Sherry and finally it’s moved to <em>Pedro Ximenez</em> Sherry casks. The final maturation gives it extra nuances and a layer of very intriguing flavors, resulting in a <em>dangerously drinkable dram</em>. Suitable as a fantastic surprise at dinner parties? <em>Yes</em>. Suitable as an evening drink with a cigar? <em>Yes</em>. You get the point. </p>
