<p>Lovely fresh red fruited nose, very delicious damson and ripe black cherry, a charming wine with a long finish and soft ripe tannins.</p><p>After a cold winter and a mild spring, the weather conditions in Summer were ideal with cold nights and warm days and enabled a perfect maturation of the grapes. The harvest started early September under a bright sunshine. The red wines develop beautiful aromas of ripe red and black berries with a fleshy texture. Aging in oak casks during 16 months.</p><p>“Les Marconnets” are located in the Northern hint of the Appelation Beaune 1er Cru. The name of this vineyard referred to the german tribe “Marcomans”. Chanson owns 4 ha, i.e, 40% of the vineyard.</p><p>To be enjoyed with white or red meat, grilled or roasted, games and all sorts of cheeses especially all the cheeses produces in Burgundy (Epoisses, Langres, Citeaux, Ami du Chambertin).</p>
