<p>A fruity and honeyed Lowlander, well worth a place in your home bar.</p><p><em>Bladnoch Distillery </em>was founded in <em>1817 </em>by <em>John </em>and <em>Thomas McClelland. </em>Since then it has been merged and acquired a host of times — suffering the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune and occasional mismanagement. But a few years ago, Australian entrepreneur<em> David Prior</em> bought the entire property — literally lock, stock, and barrels — and has installed all new equipment and is issuing forth releases from inventory and new-make production. Interestingly, it is one of only six remaining Lowland Single Malt distilleries that remain, and it is the furthest south in Scotland.</p><p>All of Bladnoch Single Malts are crafted with water from the<em> Bladnoch River</em> and locally sourced British malt.<em> Bladnoch 11 Year Old Scotch Whisky 2020 Release</em> is a typically <em>fruity </em>and <em>honeyed </em>Lowlander that spent over a decade in <em>ex-Bourbon casks</em>. It’s non-chill filtered and it clocks in at a decent <em>46.7</em>%, releasing flavors of runny honey, apple skin, peppery oak, and delicate florals.</p>
