<p>Blanc Vi Natural Negre Organic, Vins Petxina, Catalonia, Spain, 2019Grapes: A blend of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Garnatxa and 5% Cartoixà (White variety Xarel-Lo), organic, wild fermentation, hand harvested, no added sulphites, bottled unfiltered, unoakedProducer Tasting Note:This Negre (“black”) wine has an intense violet colour. Aromas and flavours of candied black fruit, Mediterranean undergrowth and licorice spice. A persistent and long taste with toasty notes, despite not having been aged in wood, the wine has a very controlled astringency and good acidity. Aged at least 18 months in bottle before release.Vins Petxina, established in 2004, is a “trading winery” which doesn’t own any winery facilities or vineyards, but works in collaboration with various winemakers and wineries within Catalonia to produce wines in styles which might not be considered by the wineries, themselves.The four wines in the “Blanc Vi Natural” range are made by winemaker Moisès Rovira i Virgili at the Celler 9+ winery in La Nou de Gaià (near Tarragonès). Produced according to the lunar cycle, the wines are farmed organically and are made without any additives. Just grapes, fermented with naturally occuring vineyard yeasts. These wines are hidden treasures, offering diverse characters, but emphasising the heritage of the Catalan regions.BLANC Vi Natural wines are made solely with grapes from the winery’s own vineyards. Nothing added.
