At least this was the case of<em> Alastair Brogan</em> who moved to the States to pursue his dream of making fine Whiskey. Barley, yeast, water, oak, and the<em> pursuit of happiness</em>, he says. Founding a small Colorado Whiskey company, the Boulder Spirits guys have big dreams, even bigger goals, and the biggest pot still in the<em> Cowboy State</em>. Their range includes American Single Malt Whiskeys, Bourbons, and Gins, all made in their unique way that brings <em>new flavors to old traditions.</em></p><p><em>Boulder Spirits Bottled In Bond Bourbon</em> is <em>one of the very first Bottled In Bond American Single Malts</em>. Luscious, rich, and well-matured, this pot-distilled Bourbon is based on a unique mash bill of 51% corn, 44% malted barley, and 5% rye. Aged for 4 years in<em> 53-gallon American oak barrels</em> in the dry Colorado climate, it’s then cut down with Eldorado Springs water to 50% ABV. Only 10 barrels get bottled at a time. This is a superb Bourbon with notes of dark molasses, toasted bread, fig, and raspberry. This stunning expression of the Colorado terroir won <em>Double Gold at San Francisco Spirits Challenge.</em></p>
