<p>Bourgogne Aligote Les Classiques, Les Vignerons de Mancey, Burgundy, France, 2023Grape: 100% Aligoté, unoakedProducer Tasting Note:Pale green gold hue. The dry and fruity, unoaked Bourgogne Aligoté releases aromas of fresh fruit (grapes and green apples) and citrus, along with mineral notes. It is very lively on the palate, but not aggressive, a sign that the grapes were perfectly ripe. Excellent, smoothly balanced acidity. Fermented in stainless steel vats by winemaker Baptiste Kozlowsky the wine is made for drinking young, but has the potential to age for up to 8 years from the vintage.Founded in 1929, Les Vignerons de Mancey, is set in the heart of lovely countryside, a few kilometres from Tournes and the Saone river. The winery`s terroir sits on the open, rolling landscape of the Maconnais hill, populated with vineyards, meadows and woods. Les Vignerons de Mancey currently groups together the production of some 80 wine growers with 140 hectares of vineyards spread over 8 communes in the Mancey area. The winery vinifies all the Burgundy grape varieties, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Aligote and Gamay, which thrive on the terroirs of the Maconnais region.Food Match: This wine will pair well with shellfish, oysters, fish skewers, scampi or snails (from Burgundy!).
