<p>A decadent cream Liqueur for the island set.</p><p><em>Bumbu </em>is a newer producer of Caribbean Rums — and they are one to keep an eye on. They have already received a<em> string of awards </em>due to their uncompromising focus on quality Spirits. They source their primary Spirits from <em>The West Indies Rum Distillery</em> on Barbados that was founded in 1893 and is are one of the top three producers on the island.</p><p>Simply stated, <em>Bumbu Crème</em> is a tasty decadent treat. Seriously… we could empty a bottle of this stuff sitting on a porch swing in an evening. It’s made from <em>Bumbu’s signature Rum,</em> exotic spices, and real dairy cream. The way to think of it is like an <em>Irish Cream Liqueur</em> for the island set. But since it is spiced it has a deeper complexity. There are a TON of ways to serve it, but because we care about you we tested it several ways — purely in the interests of science — and like it<em> chilled or on the rocks.</em></p><p><u>Smartass Corner:</u><em>Barbados was a British colony, and throughout the Caribbean and North American colonies there was a drink called “Bumbo” or “Bumbu” made from Rum and spices. It was likely the world’s first “Spiced Rum” and was even served by George Washington at political events.</em></p>
