<p>Bushmills meets Kelvin Cooperage.</p><p>Bushmills is one of <em>the most popular and enduring Irish Whiskeys</em>. <em>Hugh Anderson</em> registered the company in <em>1784 </em>in the town of Bushmills and, after a few fits and starts, they have been in continuous operation and growing since 1885. <em>Jose Cuervo</em> purchased the Old Bushmills Distillery from <em>Diageo </em>in 2014, but the suits know to stay out of the way of Irishman crafting their Whiskey. Bushmills currently has six Whiskeys in their core line-up in addition to special editions and releases.</p><p><em>Bushmills American Oak Bourbon Finish</em> was inspired by a long-term relationship between the Bushmills Distillery and the <em>legendary barrel-makers Kelvin Cooperage</em> from Louisville, <em>Kentucky</em>. This remarkable sipper was crafted with the same Single Malt that’s in Bushmills Original but that’s then finished in <em>double-charred American Oak</em> and blended with their signature triple-distilled Irish grain Whiskey. The result? Nothing short of absolutely delicious. It manages to be rich yet mellow and the double-charred barrels leave behind the perfect balance of sweet notes of crème brûlée, toffee apple, and vanilla. Neat, on the rocks, with a drop of water, or in a <em>high-end cocktail</em>. You do you.</p>
