<p>A truly exceptional blend of XO Cognac from every traditional region that’s blended to a perfection of balanced complexity.</p><p>In the early<em> 1800s</em>, <em>Jean-Baptiste Camus</em> was a small, independent wine grower who distilled some of his harvest to sell wholesale to the larger, more established Cognac houses in the region. In<em> 1863 </em>he organized a group of his fellow vintners to create their own line — <em>La Grande Marque Cognac</em>. Over the next years, the Camus family bought out their business partners and have owned and operated Camus Cognac with dedication and love for five generations.</p><p><em>Camus XO Elegance </em>is a blend of XO Cognacs <em>from all six of the traditional producing regions</em>. It’s like a <em>Tour de Cognac</em>. They are aged exclusively is<em> Limousin oak </em>— the youngest aged a minimum of ten years with some Spirit as much as thirty years old in the mix. As you can imagine, this develops a nuanced and complex aromatic and flavor profile. Not only has this winning combination won more than a dozen major awards over the years, but it is universally admired and savored. I don’t think we’ve ever seen it get less than five stars or 90 points in any review ever.</p><p><u>Smartass Corner:</u><em>The six traditional Cognac-producing regions are Bois Ordinaires, Bon Bois, Fins Bois, Petite Champaign, Grand Champaign, and Bordaries. They roughly form a target-like shape in that order with Bordaries in the upper center. Each is defined by a different terroir.</em></p>
