There is plenty of black fruit and spice on the palate, and some earthy notes to keep it grounded.</p><p>Nadia Verrua currently runs Cascina Tavijn, but her family has been making wines in these hills for more than a century. They farm local grapes and hazelnut trees organically and only use wild yeasts in the cellar.
