<p>Champagne Brut L’inattendue – Domaine LagilleRecreational champagne, L’Inattendue is produced exclusively from the Treslon terroir. Unexpected because it is rare in Champagne to see an entry-range cuvée made from a single grape variety: a 100% Pinot Meunier. Inattendue is a Meunier monovarietal produced by Domaine Lagille et Fils from the 2015 and 2016 vintages. Inattendue means ‘the unexpected’ in French, so its name already gives us a clue that we will be surprised by what we are about to uncork.</p><p>Ageing: 36 to 42 months on the yeasts.</p><p>Vinification: Plots vinified separately in thermo-adjustable stainless steel tanks. Post malolactic.</p><p>Color: Intense yellow, fine perlage.</p><p>Nose: Strong fruity aromas on the nose, with notes of ripe fruit, quince and plum.</p><p>Taste: Soft but dense in the mouth. The soft effervescence accentuates this sensation of fluidity. Fleshy and tender consistency.</p><p>Pairing: With aperitifs, fish dishes, mixed vegetables, and white meat second courses. </p>
