<p>CHAMPAGNE LOUIS ROEDERER CRISTAL 2015 – BOX2015 was characterized by a mild and humid winter and a hot and particularly dry summer. The rains in the second half of August were beneficial for the vineyard, as they kept the grapes fresh and concentrated. The harvest was abandoned and of exceptional quality for the year which marks the recognition of the Champagne region as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.</p><p>Winemaking and agingThe work in the vineyard is guided by increasingly virtuous viticultural practices which allow us to obtain a perfect balance and superb ripening of the grapes. Winemaking takes place under wood for 25% of the wine. No malolactic fermentation. The dosage of this Brut champagne is 7 grams per liter. </p><p><p>Tasting</p><p><em>Color</em>The wine displays a beautiful bright golden yellow color. The effervescence is lively and of great finesse.</p><p><em>Smell</em>The nose reveals a particularly rich aromatic expression. Concentrated aromas of yellow fruit (white peach, mirabelle plum), hazelnuts and grilled almonds blend harmoniously. Following aeration, the bouquet reveals an ideal alliance between the typical notes of almond, harvest and sweet pollen of Chardonnay and the delicious fruitiness (red and juicy fruits) of Pinot Noir.</p><p><em>Taste</em>Lively and concentrated, the palate opens with a silky hint revealing aromas of candied citrus fruits and iodized spices. The palate extends its freshness and precision to a finish with subtle woody and saline notes that create a delicious alliance between finesse and concentration.</p></p>
