<p>The newest of Chapter 7’s Whisky series might focus on younger Whisky, but it’s definitely no slouch. </p><p>Chapter 7 Whisky operates on one simple premise — <em>each cask of Whisky is unique.</em> The wood, age, temperature, its location in the rick-house…<em> everything tells its own story.</em> Large Scotch producers marry casks in large vats before bottling so that the master blender can try to make them all taste the same. The folks at Chapter 7 Whisky think that’s a shame. Chapter 7 is the brain-child of <em>Selim Evin</em>. He thinks that each cask should tell its own unique tale, so he travels to Scotland and Ireland to hand-select single casks from the inventories of the world’s greatest distilleries. Then he <em>custom bottles</em> each one with its own story. How many bottles, you ask? Well, until the barrel is empty.</p><p>The <em>Prologue </em>was introduced in <em>2021 </em>and is the newest of their Whisky series, focusing on younger Spirits that are at the beginning stages of <em>developing the complexity,</em> while still showcasing the characteristics of the distillery and region. It’s a small batch blended Malt Whisky from the Highland and Speyside regions. Limited to <em>6,000 bottles,</em> it’s the largest batch Chapter 7 has produced thus far. It might be a smidge more accessible, but it’s a proper 98-proof dram nonetheless! </p>
