This sweet wine has a beautiful amber hue in the glass, and instantly hits you with aromas of honey and candied fruits. On the palate, it has lovely baked apple and quince notes, as well as tropical and stone fruits. There is also a pleasing minerality and fresh acidity, which keeps the wine light on its feet and provides the perfect contrast to the waxy honey flavours.

Vincent Barouillet is an eighth generation winemaker in the Bergerac / Monbazillac region to the east of Bordeaux. To make this wine, 100% botrytised grapes were harvested in mid-October when the sugar was highly concentrated. Spontaneous fermentation with indigineous yeast occured for 12 months, before it was bottled without fining or the addition of sulphur.

Origin: Bergerac / Monbazillac, FranceVintage: 2021Grape varieties: 50% Chenin Blanc, 20% Muscadelle, 30% Semillon Food pairings: Aperitif, foie gras, sweet/savory dishes such as caramelised pork or duck, sweet dishes.Bottle size: 75clABV: 11.5%

ORGANIC / BIODYNAMIC / VEGAN / LOW SULPHITE / NATURAL
