A blend of plots located close to the chateau in the village of Fleurie.Fleurie is the “Queen” of the Beaujolais Crus and is renowned for producing beautifully rich wines with silky tannins. Loron’s Fleurie has a deep ruby colour with purple hints and an intense, complex nose. Obvious notes of blackcurrants and blackberries, progressively complemented by liquorice and black chocolate. The mouth is rich and well balanced with a remarkable persistence.Aewarded 89/100 points, Jasper Morris, INSIDE BURGUNDY, February 2024Recommended in “Les Guide Hachette Des Vins”, France.More about Château de Fleurie.The lovely 18th century castle, situated in the centre of the village of Fleurie, belongs to Chantal Roclore, the grandchild of Jean Loron.Under the winery, the vaulted cellar holds an impressive stock of oak vats where the entire production is matured.This 32 acre estate spreads over the best “climat” of the Fleurie appellation: “les Grands Fers”, “La Madone”, “Le Point du Jour”. The soil is made of pure pink coloured granite called “le gore”, a poor soil giving low yields.
