<p>Chateau La Croix Cantenac Grand Cru St Emilion, Bordeaux, France, 2022Grapes: A blend of 90% Merlot, 5% Cabernet Franc, 5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5.5ha vineyard planted on a combination of clay/limestone & sandy gravel soils, aged 18 months in oak barrels (30% new)The dominance of the Merlot is apparent on the nose with black fruits (cassis) and notes of dark cherry and plum, truffles, coffee, vanilla and liquorice spice. In the mouth, the wine is silky smooth and elegant, with good complexity and structure from the Cabernet Sauvignon.
