<p>Chichibu Hanyu Ichiro’s Malt The Single Cask #1700 For Sweden, Single Malt Whisky, Japan, 70clOne of only 268 bottles from a single cask (#1700) distilled in 2012 exclusively for the Swedish market. This whisky was matured in new American white oak and was bottled in 2018 at cask strength (62.4% ABV).Critics’ Tasting Notes:”NOSE: Green Apples of course. Caramel. Wood influence. Ginger. Peach, even a bit jammy. Red berriesTASTE: Creamy. Classic Japanese / Chichibu style. Green Apples again. Nutty. Ginger. Just a little sulphur that does not bother me. Woody. Grassy. Lots of Wood spices. Slightly bitterFINISH: Long finish. Turns slightly more into bitter Oranges. Very fresh still. Herbs now. Apples of course. A bit metallic . A bit Woody still. Not overly complex but enjoyable finish for sure!!”WHISKY BASE, 2019″NOSE: A bit raw at first. Vanilla for sure. Pears and hints of tropical fruits. Almond paste.TASTE: Very rich and full-bodied. Again a little raw, but I quickly get over that. It is big! Borderline overwhelming. Tons of vanilla and icing sugar. Tropical fruits – primarily in the form of pineapple.
