Barrel fermented and aged in French oak for 11 months.Producer Tasting Note:The nose is immediately fresh and beguiling, with notes of candied citrus, stone fruit and orchard blossom and subtle hints of spice. The palate is rounded in the mouth, with gentle citrus and white peach characters, enfolded in layers of crème patissière and hazelnut.Critic’s Tasting Note:”Toasty spices on the nose. White citrus, green apple with leesy, mealy notes on the palate. Treads the line between tart fruit, cereal notes and oak. Very smart on the finish, thanks to zippy acidity (there was only 21% malolactic conversion here).
