<p>Welcome to the dark side.</p><p><em>Copperhead NV</em> is the maker of two Gins: “Mr. Copperhead” and “Black Batch.” The company claims to have been founded on a <em>secretly discovered recipe</em> derived from “a notorious alchemist” named <em>Mr. Copperhead</em> who divined the ingredients while searching for <em>“the elixir of life.” </em>That’s why they call their Gin line <em>“The Alchemist’s Gin.” </em>Their marketing and creative teams are sticking to that story, so we’ll just go on to let you know that their products are <em>made in Belgium</em> and that records suggest that they were <em>founded in 2014. </em></p><p>So, after discovering the flagship “Mr. Copperhead” gin, the aforementioned alchemist decided to <em>continue his search</em> for the “elixir of life.” The original Copperhead recipe featured five main botanicals – juniper, orange zest, angelica, coriander and cardamom. Mr. Copperhead added <em>elderberry, black berries and black Ceylon tea rose</em> to the original list and so <em>Copperhead Gin Black Batch</em> was born. <em>Triple distilled</em>, the Spirit is crafted in <em>small batches</em> using traditional methods in a <em>copper pot still</em>. Voilà, black magic.</p><p>The end result is a Gin <em>versatile enough to mix</em> and <em>delicate enough to enjoy neat</em>. This is not your typical London Dry Gin, nor does it pretend to be. <em>Everybody’s got a dark side</em> and we love it. It makes life interesting, plus it goes well with tonic water.</p>
